Yep, it was totally a trick. Someone rang me saying they were from O2 offering a free upgrade, but the call quality was really bad and I could hear loads of people chatting in the background. Then, out of nowhere, the call just ended. Not long after, the same number popped up again, but this time from a different area code. I told the lady it was a scam, and she actually admitted it before hanging up straight away.
