Like some others have mentioned, they rang up pretending to be from Vodafone saying my sim needed an update. I told them I don’t even have Vodafone, so it was pretty obvious it was a scam.

Got a call from some number abroad, pretty sure it was a scam. Not from the UK at all.

Yeah, so this guy from India kept chatting non-stop, then started asking for my email and other stuff. I just kept him going for a bit and finally managed to shake him off.

No idea who this was, didn’t bother to leave a voicemail either, so I just blocked the number. Sorted! πŸ†

I missed the first call from this number but picked up when it rang again. The person on the line said something like "hello, this is Vodafone calling." I was a bit iffy about it so I just ended the call right away - felt like a dodgy scam to me.

Some bloke said he was from Vodafone, saying they needed to update my SIM and would post something recorded delivery. Then he said they had to check my credit score by taking £40-£100 from my bank. He even knew the last 3 digits of my bank account and my old address! After that, he asked for the first 5 digits of my account number and then wanted my full card number. The guy sounded Indian and got really impatient, shouting at me to give the info. I hung up straight away and rang Vodafone myself. Turns out, I've had no contact from them in over a year. Definitely a scam.

Got loads of calls like five times in a row saying my sim needs an upgrade. They said they were from Vodafone but I have an eSIM so I just ended the call. Totally felt like a scam to me.

Got a call saying they were from Vodaphone and had a special deal just for current customers. I don't even use Vodaphone, so I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from someone saying they were with my phone company, asking how much I pay on my bill. I told them if they were legit, they’d know already. When I wouldn’t give any info, they asked why I didn’t trust them. I said I’ve studied social engineering scams for a cyber security course, then they just hung up right away. Pretty clear it was a scam. Don’t share any details or click on any links if you get calls like this.

I reckon it was a scam but I got kinda fed up with the call. A woman claimed to be ringing from 3 in Wakefield, trying to sell some 50% off deal. When I asked her to verify my info, she got a bit snappy. Took ages, and I told her I wasn’t gonna carry on the call and just hung up. Have blocked the number since then!

It showed up as "possible spam" so I didn't pick up. If its important they can always leave a voicemail.

This number kept ringing me non stop. I picked up the first couple of times but didnt say a word, only heard some noise in the background. Then they just ended the call. When I ignored the next call, they seem to have given up and stopped calling.
