I just answered a call from a bunch who asserted they were from the States, yet I suspect they're actually based in India or somewhere close by. They seemed rather hesitant to disclose their location or how they acquired my number. When I probed about whether I had ever been involved with PPI, their response was rather vague. I insisted they take me off their list, and the woman claimed she would, promising no further calls would come my way. Time will tell, I suppose. Interestingly, the 01924 code corresponds to Wakefield, a city here in the UK that's quite prominent for financial services...

I just received a call from a lady who clearly wasn't grasping what I was saying, and I'm a native English speaker! I tried to explain that I’ve successfully reclaimed my own PPI, as it’s quite straightforward. Instead, she went on about how difficult it supposedly is to get it back, claiming that’s the reason for their call. I firmly replied, “I’VE ALREADY RECLAIMED MY PPI, IT’S COMPLETELY FREE AND SIMPLE, SO DO ONE!”

Received a missed call on our landline. This number has popped up previously, yet it's unfamiliar to us. We've checked with our bank and can confirm they do not contact us from this number.

This number is always calling me, proper annoying! They should be stopped from pestering people like this, it’s such a pain in the neck.

Got a ring from these lot, said they were calling from the States but I’m pretty sure they were actually somewhere in Asia, probably India. They were dodgy about where exactly they were calling from and how they got my number. I asked if the info they had showed I’d ever had PPI, but they couldn’t confirm it. I told them to take my number off their list, and the woman said they’d sort it and I shouldn’t get any more calls. We'll see about that. The 01924 code is Wakefield, which is known around here for banking and finance firms...
