I got a call from someone saying they were from Sky Broadband support, but the bloke had a weird American accent. It sounded like he was calling from one of those call centres. Total scam alert! Never give out your IP address, account details, or banking info to anyone like that. If you’re unsure, just don’t say a word. If you think there might actually be a problem, hang up and ring the customer service number listed on your bill or in your app instead. Don’t get caught out!

I had a rather peculiar phone call from a lady claiming to be from a Virgin service centre, and she mentioned that my internet connection was sluggish. When I prompted her to verify my name, she abruptly ended the call. Quite odd, isn’t it?

Sounds like a proper scam to me! They said they were from BT (but definitely weren’t) and told me my internet speed was going downhill. Then they tried to hand me over to some “team” to fix it. Honestly, this feels really risky - imagine if they tricked someone more vulnerable than me. Definitely watch out for these dodgy calls!

Got a call claiming to be from Sky about my internet cutting out and fixing it, but honestly, feels like they just buzz to soak up all the insults!

This number popped up on my home phone. I didn’t pick up, seemed like one of those annoying spam calls. Just gave it a miss.

Had a call from someone claiming to be Claire at Virgin Media, but as soon as I asked a question, they just ended the call. Definitely seems dodgy.

They disconnected as soon as I picked up the call.

They called and then just cut off as soon as I didn't pick up. Didn’t bother leaving a voicemail, so I’m left completely in the dark about who it might be.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying my internet speed was slower than it should be and that I should test it. I said I’d do that and get back in touch, but obviously I never did. I looked up the number afterwards - 01924922932 - and it turns out it’s been linked to scams multiple times. Just a heads up to steer clear of that number and block it quick!

I didn’t pick up and it went straight to voicemail but no one left a message. The caller ID said it was an international call but the number looked like it was from the UK.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Jason at BT Openreach who wanted me to verify my personal info. When I asked what it was all about, he just ended the call straight away.
