Beware of this dodgy double glazing company from Asia. If you look them up on Companies House, you'll see they’ve scammed loads of people out of their cash. They shut down, move their address, then reopen under a new name - they’ve done this about four times in under three years! Don’t pick up if they call, it’s definitely a con. The phone number they use is even spoofed so you can’t trace them. They’re trying to hide where they’re really based.

I must say, I had a rather unsettling experience with Quote for Cover. A quick glance at the FCA's website reveals a cautionary notice indicating that they are an unauthorised entity. It's clear they shouldn't be trusted, as they're flagged as a potential scam. Best to steer clear, I reckon!

Absolutely a complete con job! They claimed to have claimed £2550 plus an interest of £1550 from some bank as compensation for PPI. When I asked which bank they were referring to, I cheekily said “Bank of Paris” - a place that doesn’t even exist! And guess what? They didn’t have a clue! They proceeded to provide me with a reference number and an ID but insisted they wouldn’t need any bank or card details. Apparently, the cash was waiting in a “wallet”? Then they passed me over to another chap of Asian descent who asked for those same numbers, but I decided to throw him off by giving incorrect ones. Quite baffled, he then requested my phone number to verify the details? He then dished out yet more ID and reference numbers that didn’t match the originals at all. He had the audacity to mention I wasn’t very tech-savvy and offered to guide me through accessing this mysterious wallet. His next bizarre suggestion? To switch my phone to loudspeaker and download an app called Anydesk from the Play Store, which would allow him to remotely infiltrate my phone and snatch my banking details, identity, and all those sensitive passwords. These dodgy characters really need to be brought to justice, so please report them to the police for phishing and to the Financial Conduct Authority!
