Had a call from someone claiming to be from Crown Glazing Ltd recently, told me some fishy stuff. After checking, found out it’s all part of this ICO Operation Tinago deal - they’re cracking down because lots of folks had complaints against them. Honestly, don’t fall for what they say, it’s just a scam to nick your cash. Stay sharp!

Don't fall for Crown Glazing Ltd, they aint actually from Wakefield like the number makes out. They're just trying to hide who they really are. Nothing they tell you can be trusted, it's just a con to rip you off.

Beware of this dodgy double glazing company from Asia. If you look them up on Companies House, you'll see they’ve scammed loads of people out of their cash. They shut down, move their address, then reopen under a new name - they’ve done this about four times in under three years! Don’t pick up if they call, it’s definitely a con. The phone number they use is even spoofed so you can’t trace them. They’re trying to hide where they’re really based.

Just a heads up, Quote For Cover is actually flagged on the FCA website as an unauthorised firm. They've put out warnings advising folks against getting involved with them. Sounds like it's a total scam, so I'd stay clear.

Honestly, it seems like they just keep ringing numbers randomly, without bothering to check if it’s an adult or a kid on the other end. They dont really care who answers, just bombarding every number they can find.

I picked up thinking it was just a nearby caller, but it was some sales guy wanting to talk about an energy survey for the double glazed windows at our old place. I told him we’d shifted and fibbed that our windows were brand new. He wasn’t pushy though and just accepted my no without fuss.

They kept asking for me by my maiden surname, which I haven’t used in over 15 years, and just ended the call when I told them that wasn’t my last name anymore. Didn’t mention who they were or what company - sounded like a bunch of people mucking about in a call centre with all the giggling and noise in the back. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Complete scam! They claimed I had a payout of £2550 plus £1550 in interest from my bank, all supposedly linked to PPI compensation. When I told them my bank was "Bank of Paris" - which obviously isn’t real - they didn’t catch on. They gave me some reference and ID numbers, saying they’d never ask for card or bank details, and mentioned the money being in a "wallet". Then they handed me over to another bloke with an Asian accent. He asked for the ID and ref numbers again, but I gave him fake ones this time. Confused, he asked for my phone number to verify those. He then gave me a completely different set of numbers and said those were the correct ones. After that, he told me I wasn’t tech-savvy and offered to help me get into the wallet. Next, he wanted me to put the call on loudspeaker (why on earth?) and to download an app called Anydesk from the Play Store. This would’ve let him remotely take control of my phone to steal bank info, passwords, identity details and more. These crooks really need to be put behind bars. Definitely report them to the police and the Financial Conduct Authority for phishing.

Beware of this dodgy glazing company of Asian origin. If you look them up on Companies House, you’ll see they trick people into paying, then shut down, switch addresses, and pop up somewhere else. My kids are only 12 and they're getting calls from this number, +441924910192. Surely it's not right for anyone to bother kids that young! Didn't think people would be allowed to treat children like that.
