Lately, I've had a couple of calls from numbers that look almost the same. Some bloke with a strong Indian accent was asking for me directly, but when I tried to find out who he was, he started chatting away in some language I didn't understand to someone else and then just cut me off. I ended up texting back, "If you ring me again, I’ll sneak into your house while you’re asleep and do some nasty things to your eyes. Now jog on!"

They keep ringing me but never leave a message. After checking out this brilliant site, I’m certain it’s just a scam. Why aren’t these calls blocked yet?

I picked up the phone, but there was silence on the other end. After about 15 seconds with no response, I decided to end the call myself.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from BT, saying there was an issue with our internet security. He wanted to access our system remotely. I wasn't having any of it and told him to clear off.

Got a call from a guy sounding Indian claiming he was from BT, telling me my system was under attack from overseas - likely just a scam. Why on earth doesn't BT take action to stop these annoying people?

On 21st Nov at around 10.30 in the morning, I got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT. He said our internet had been hacked and wanted to access my computer remotely. Honestly, sounds like BT’s mess for handing their support over to call centres in India. I was proper annoyed and told him to bugger off! BT’s definitely to blame in this case, no doubt about it.

When I picked up, there was just some robotic voice that said goodbye and then the call ended. Pretty sure it's a total scam.

Just saw that I had a missed call from this number so I tried calling back. Got an automated message saying the number is real but apparently it's been cloned too. Bit confusing if you ask me!

Could you please refrain from calling? This is becoming rather bothersome.

Around 8:20 this morning I picked up the phone, but there was nothing on the other end. After a bit of silence, I heard a robotic "goodbye." Definitely putting that number on my block list now.

The person on the other end just hung up the call.

Got a call from this number earlier today but I usually just ignore unknown numbers, thinking if it’s important they’ll leave a voicemail. Looked up the number here and glad I didn’t pick up. These scammers who target folks who might be more trusting really need to be stopped.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Peter Watson at BT, saying my router was compromised. I asked how he knew that and he just dropped the call. Could hear loads of background noise and chatter too.

Early on a Saturday morning around 8.15, I got a call from a man with an accent that sounded Indian. He claimed there was an issue with my BT Internet. I told him straight away that I never talk to strangers on the phone, especially when I can't verify who they are.

I ended the call, but looking back, I feel a bit let down. These days, there’s hardly anything enjoyable, and having to deal with some muppet trying to scam me for cash, all while I’m winding him up and throwing in the odd cheeky insult, isn’t exactly a laugh.

Some bloke said he was from BT security, said my internet was running slow and maybe someone was trying to hack me. When I asked him to prove he worked for BT, he stumbled over my name and gave my address and postcode wrong. I told him it was too early in the day to describe the lights on my router and asked him to ring back later. He phoned me about an hour and a half later but I just hung up. He kept calling a few more times but I cut the calls off pretty quickly each time. It’s been a couple of hours now and he hasn’t rung again.

I ended the call but now that I think about it, I’m a bit annoyed at myself. These days don’t offer much entertainment, so having a laugh by dealing with some muppet trying to scam you, and maybe chucking in a cheeky insult, would’ve been quite amusing.

My phone went off and when I picked up there was nothing but silence for around a minute. Then out of nowhere, I heard a robotic voice say ‘goodbye’, followed by the typical click noise you get when someone ends a call. Strange!

Got a call from some guy called Sandy today, saying my internet was hacked and he needed to switch it off right away. When I told him I’d call BT myself and get back to him, he got a bit annoyed. I hung up, but he rang straight back, sounded proper pissed off. In the end, he gave up, but how he even got my name and where I live is beyond me!

They said they were from BT, but honestly, there was so much noise in the background it definitely didn’t sound like a proper call centre. Seemed fishy to me.

Got called by someone claiming to be from internet security, but they had the wrong name for me. Asked to speak to a supervisor, and as soon as I mentioned I use a Mac, the line went dead. Classic scam attempt!

I got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT's security team about my internet safety. I asked her a few questions to check if she was legit, which she denied being a scammer. She mentioned she didn't have complete access to my account, so I requested someone with proper access to ring me back so I could be convinced she wasn’t trying to scam me. Instead, she just ended the call. When I contacted BT, they didn't seem bothered to help at all.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT security. He said my computer was hacked and asked me to open an email. I didn’t go along with it. The name he gave was Mathew Wilson. There was a lot of background noise and other voices, so it seemed pretty dodgy. Watch out, sounded quite real though.

Had some dodgy calls from BT internet security claiming my line was on the blink. They kept ringing back loads, even sent a so-called supervisor who got annoyed when I didn’t play along and ended up swearing at me before just hanging up! Proper strange behaviour.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT's technical support, telling me my internet was compromised. He kept insisting I let him access my computer. I just ended the call, didn’t buy it.

Received a call earlier today (around 13:17) from the number 01924 878458, claiming to be BT, regarding some alleged "issues" with my computer. The typical drill: they inquired if my modem was switched on and asked me to power up my computer. That’s when I decided to end the call abruptly. - Definitely a call centre atmosphere with a lot of chatter in the background.
