some bloke keeps ringing my coffee shop a couple times every day. Today I finally answered and he was on about taking a meter reading because they were supposedly swapping my energy provider. When I told him I wasn't interested in switching, he just insisted I would anyway, claiming his company was cheaper. I tried to explain I wasn't going to change, but he got proper stroppy. I ended up hanging up, only for him to ring right back and say I shouldn't pay my current supplier since the switch was happening no matter what. So I just hung up again!

I received a rather peculiar call the other day from an Australian lady who seemed quite keen on providing me with a quote for life insurance aimed at those over fifty. However, her pronunciation of my name was rather amusing, and I could hear a cacophony of dogs barking away in the background! After a polite decline, I ended the conversation. I’ve never encountered an insurance salesperson with such a lively atmosphere behind them; it certainly brought a chuckle to my day. It’s a shame that these companies feel the need to pressure folks, as most of us are already dealing with enough challenges without being bombarded by hard sales. Let’s be a bit kinder, eh? Bad energy will only come back to bite you!
