I had a rather curious call from 01924659970, claiming to be from the traffic bureau. The chap, who introduced himself as James, mentioned something about a car accident I was involved in earlier this year (which is indeed correct) and insisted they had proof that I wasn’t at fault (which, quite frankly, I was). When I inquired about his surname, he casually replied “Smith.” I informed him that the matter was already resolved through my insurance and promptly ended the call. Feeling a bit sceptical, I decided to ring the number again using an old, unregistered mobile of mine, only to be met with some background music and no signs of life on the other end. I'm convinced this has scam written all over it!

A number rang me saying they were from the road standards agency, asking about a road traffic accident I might have been linked to. But as soon as I requested more info, they just ended the call. Totally dodgy scammers.

01924 659970this woman rang me saying it was about a crash i'd been in. she said she worked for some kind of insurance watchdog. she knew a couple of things about the accident, which made me think maybe it was legit. but then she kept pushing me to start a claim for injuries, saying it was no win no fee. even when i told her i wasn’t hurt at all, she kept trying to get me to say otherwise! in the end, i just hung up.

In my situation, they purport to be contacting me on behalf of NatWest regarding a problem linked to one of my credit cards.

Avoid them, had a really annoying experience with a super pushy bloke. Definitely not worth it, and they kept saying "no win no fee" over and over. Stay clear!

I looked up the number, and the feedback was mostly negative. Loads of people said they just hang up or suggested it might be a scam. Best to just ignore it. Hope you have a good one!

Some bloke called me up about investing in fancy wines, no clue how they found my number. They must reckon I've got a mega fancy portfolio and loads of cash (if only!). The dude was alright, not too pushy, might be worth a look if you’re into that sort of thing.

Got a call from someone claiming to be NatWest, saying they wanted to check on my card. Problem is, I don't even have a NatWest card! When I asked why, the person on the phone just kept asking for #88 and said something about me being happy with my credit and needing some info. I told them I speak English (because I'm from England) and then the caller started shouting “ice” before just hanging up on me. Pretty weird experience!
