Got a call from a number 01924 286957, supposedly BT saying my internet was going off for three weeks. When I hit 1 to get details, this American lady came on and told me my internet would be cut for weeks, even though I live in London. I told her I’m not in London and my internet isn’t even working right now, then just ended the call. Seemed really dodgy to me.

I didn’t catch who they said they were, just another cold call ringing through.

Got a call from some accident claims outfit telling me I could claim cash for an accident that happened within the past 3 years. They said the money had been held for 3 years and I had to get in touch to have a cheque sent out to me. Thing is, the accident was already sorted ages ago, so it sounded dodgy from the start. Then they asked me for my NI number, and that just set off all my warning bells!
