I picked up and said hello, but there was this creepy silence on the other end, so I just ended the call.

I got a call at 2:36pm on July 11th. Took a moment after I said "Hello?" before someone picked up. It was a guy called Allan or maybe Alain, not quite sure - he had a bit of an accent I couldn’t quite identify. He said something like, "Good afternoon, Madam. I'm ringing about the National Energy [something I didn’t catch] happening near you..." I just hung up straight away, didn’t even bother with my usual rude replies because he sounded quite polite. Pretty sure it was a scam, and it could definitely rip people off, so I’m labelling this one as risky.

Got a call at 3:48 in the afternoon on July 10th from a number I didn't know. I ignored it and let it go to voicemail, but they didn't leave any message.
