2 monthsReceived a call from someone pretending to be BT, totally a scam.2 monthsThere was a lot of noise in the background and the caller had a really thick accent. When I asked to speak with the manager or owner, he said they were both on a break and couldn’t talk right now. Then he tried to convince me I could handle it myself and that everything would be fine. I refused to give any information or sign up for anything. He claimed he was ringing from BT, but when I said I’d call BT back, he admitted they weren’t officially from BT, just allowed to offer some deals through them. I told him we’d still get in touch with BT directly. He then questioned why and I explained it’s how we do things as a company. That’s when he got really annoyed and kept asking why I wouldn’t go ahead with the setup. He sounded almost desperate and kept pushing me, asking why I kept saying no. Definitely a scam - don’t fall for this. If you’re unsure, always say you’ll contact the company directly at their official number.BT2 monthsJust like others have said, it felt like they had info from who knows where. They tried pushing a ‘better deal’ on me but didn’t even know what services I was currently using. Even when I hung up, they kept calling back. Definitely scammers, no doubt about it.2 monthsGot a call from someone saying they were from BT, telling me my broadband deal was ending the very next day - bit too handy if you ask me. They kept saying it wasn’t a sales pitch and really wanted to talk to the manager. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me, just trying to phish info. I ended up stringing him along for about 15 minutes before he finally gave up. He didn’t stop even when I said I’d report the call to the police, but as soon as I brought up this website, he just hung up. Watch out, folks!BT2 monthsReceived a call from someone wanting to talk to the owner. When I asked who they were, they just kept pushing to speak to the owner. Could hear loads of noise behind them. Ended up hanging up! They wouldn’t tell me their name, so watch out!2 monthsThey called me saying they were with BT, but the accent was definitely from abroad. Watch out, they're just trying to scam you.BT2 months26/6/23 Got a call from someone claiming to be from BT, asking about renewing our broadband and landline. They wanted to speak to the business manager. I told them we don’t have BT and aren’t interested in renewing anything. I also asked if they were just cold calling to try and switch us over. Ended up telling them to ring the manager tomorrow instead!BT2 monthsWhen this number pops up, just hang up straight away. They try to get your personal details, so it’s best not to say a word to them. Don’t fall for it, just end the call.2 monthsWatch out, these are complete con artists! They claim to be from BT but speak with some weird foreign accent. Feels like they’re calling from a little rowing boat or something!2 monthsThey kept saying our BT contract was nearly up but couldn’t give me any number for the main office handling contracts. I asked for a manager who could approve the renewal, but no luck. Felt like a total scam to me.BT2 monthsI got a call and the person wanted to talk to the business manager. There was loads of noise in the background, so I asked who it was and what the call was about. The guy said he was from BT, talking about our broadband and phone service. I told him we’d already sorted the contract renewal a while back. He went quiet for a bit and asked if we'd received a confirmation email. I mentioned the new router was set up just a couple of weeks ago, then he went quiet again. I just said thanks and ended the call.BT2 monthsHad some bloke claiming to be from BT call me up, saying all sorts and telling me to basically get lost. He rattled off all my details like he was legit BT or something. Proper scam attempt if you ask me!BT2 monthsAbsolutely unbelievable how they were yelling at me over the phone, saying I was with BT and my contract was finishing soon. These scammers get so aggressive, like it’s my fault or something. Honestly, if that was true, I’d be switching in a heartbeat because their service is shockingly bad. Honestly, do us all a favour and find a proper job instead of messing around like this.BT3 monthsThey kept ringing me nonstop, claiming they could offer a way better deal on my BT contract. Every time I told them to just send me the details in an email and that I didn't think they were actually from BT, the guy just snapped back at me telling me to go to hell. Bit rude if you ask me!BT3 monthsWatch out for scammers! I got a call where they were trying to get me to verify my address and personal info. The smartest move is just to hang up straight away. I ended up telling him to take a hike and reported him to the cops.3 monthsGot a call from someone saying they were from BT. I asked for the account number to check, but he said he couldn’t give it because of GDPR rules. Then suddenly, he just went quiet, so I ended the call.BT3 monthsGot a call from a guy with an Indian accent wanting to talk to the boss about the BT broadband and landline. When I started asking questions, he got proper grumpy. Definitely sounded like a scam to me.5 monthsI usually just ignore calls from numbers I don’t recognise, especially if the area code is foreign to me. And honestly, if they don’t bother leaving a voicemail, I just assume it’s some sort of scam. At that point, it’s their time being wasted by calling me, not mine.5 monthsLooks like a BT scam, trying to trick you into giving out your details.BT5 monthsGot a call earlier from someone insisting about a BT contract we supposedly have, which we don’t. The caller was quite pushy and a bit rude too.BT6 monthsGot a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming to be from BT. He was dead keen to find out when our contract finishes. Bit pushy if you ask me. Ended up just hanging up on him.BT6 monthsI got a couple of calls from someone with a thick Asian accent, who kept asking for the manager about the internet. Instead of talking, I just put the Friends opening song on loud for him both times he rang.Friends6 monthsGot a call saying my BT subscription needed renewing, I told the guy it wasn’t true and asked him nicely not to ring again.
