Usually it's the hospital in Mid Yorkshire, Pinderfields I think, so it’s nothing to worry about. It’s just really annoying how the phone only rings for a second, barely long enough to fish it out of your pocket, then it will ring again just a few minutes later. Probably no more than four rings each time.

Got a call on my mobile, the person kept asking for "Mr Jones" but when I asked who they were or how they had my number, they wouldn’t say. They just kept insisting if I was Mr Jones. I told them I wasn’t, and I’m from Northern Ireland. Then they just hung up. Having worked for the NHS, I always say who I am when calling people. If this was a legit caller, it was pretty unprofessional to act like that.

I reckon the person ringing from this number wasn’t legit at all. They asked for a name, which happens to be a bloke who’s known for messing about with phone sales using our contact. From what I’ve found, this number is linked to confirming hospital visits, but dodgy folks could easily make up fake numbers so they don’t get caught.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent who said her name was Rachel. She claimed to be from some company called "D and Refunds" and mentioned something about my kitchen appliance cover. Supposedly, I was owed a refund of £149, but before that, she needed to confirm my details. She asked for my birth date and which bank I used. When I asked where she was calling from, she just ended the call straight away.

On Friday 19th July, I got four calls from this same number on my mobile. One of the calls said it was received, but when I picked up, there was a recorded message about a hospital appointment and to check a letter that had been sent. I’ve got three bookings at Dewsbury Hospital and one at Pinderfields, so it really stressed me out worrying I might’ve missed a letter or appointment. I decided to look up the number using “Who is calling” and found out it was one of those annoying scam calls. The number looked almost identical to Pinderfields Hospital’s, except it had an extra 9 at the end. It’s hard to understand why these nuisance calls keep happening and why they don’t get stopped. It’s very upsetting, especially for older folks like me. Do you think Pinderfields Hospital know their number is being faked like this? If there’s any way to block such calls, please let me know how, I’d appreciate it. Thanks.
