They called asking about someone who’s never been employed by me. The company was Check Your Staff, and the bloke on the phone was really cheeky. Best just to ignore these muppets.

Got another annoying call, they claimed it was for a reference but wouldn’t tell me what or who it was about. Seemed really sketchy to me!

I got a call from some firm named check your staff. Apparently, a mate of mine put my name down as a reference. The call was only about that. So, if someone wants to use you as a reference, be sure they ask you beforehand. And if you don't know who they’re talking about, you decide how to handle it.

i was trying to find info about this company since they dialled a relatives number but spoke to me instead, saying they needed a reference for someone i dont know. couldnt get any details as nobody picks up the calls, and it just goes to voicemail everytime i try.
