I received a rather suspicious call from a gentleman with an Asian accent, who introduced himself as Austin. He asserted that he was part of Microsoft’s tech support team and inquired if I was speaking to "Mr John." To clarify, I am definitely not Mr John.

I've been getting a bunch of calls lately where they just go quiet and then hang up. They keep saying my internet is running slow and offer to fix it. I’ve had like four of these in the past couple days. Before moving to SKY, I never got these calls. We barely use the landline, and no one should have this number yet... total SCAM!

Got a call but no one said a word before it just ended!

Got a bloke on the phone saying his name was Austin, claimed he was with Microsoft tech support. He was sure he was talking to a bloke called John. I told him no, he wasn’t. Then he asked again for John so I told him no one by that name lives here. Oddly, he rattled off my postcode and said he thought I was the owner. I said no again, and he just blurted "oh dear" and hung up. These idiots keep ringing looking for John, clearly a scam, total nonsense.

Got a call from this number, and it was a woman speaking with a strong Indian accent. I couldn’t quite catch what she was trying to say. When I asked if it was a marketing call since I’m on the TPS list, she just hung up. So I’ve blocked the number.

Got a call from a bloke wanting to talk to someone about BT broadband. When I said they’d got the wrong number, he just told me to "buzz off" and then hung up. Proper rude.

I don’t get why tech support has to ring me first, I’d usually call them if something was wrong. I told them I was busy with a music lesson and they said they’d hang on, but then started saying if I didn’t fix my internet now I might be offline for two days! Sounds like a total scam to me, who talks like that?

Got a call this morning from a guy claiming to be Alex Williams from bank security. He said someone had tried to buy an £800 Amazon gift card with my card at 7am today. I wasn’t having any of it and told him to take a hike before hanging up.

My elderly folks got a call from someone claiming to be from BT doing cyber security checks. I ended up talking to a man with an Asian accent who was trying to get my parents to hand over their iTunes password and other info. I just cut the call straight away.

Got a call from a man with an Asian accent who just said "Good morning, madam, I’m calling from Microsoft." It was really bad timing, so I told him to shove off and quit trying to scam folks. We don’t even use Microsoft anyway.
