I received a rather curious phone call from a woman speaking in a pronounced Indian accent, claiming to be ringing me regarding "my Sky broadband." The thing is, I don't even have a Sky account! I listened as she rambled on about various issues with my supposed broadband and router, insisting that I should hit the Windows button followed by the letter R. I was fully aware of what that combination does, but I pretended nothing was going on and kept feeding her that line. Eventually, she lost her patience and hung up on me. Clearly, it was a classic scam attempt.

Had a woman ring me up with a thick Indian accent, saying something about my Sky Broadband. When she called the first time, I told her I don’t have Sky and she just hung up. Next time she phoned, I let her chat away and she tried to get me to press the Windows key plus R together. I kinda knew where this was going but acted clueless and let her go on. After I kept saying nothing appeared on my screen, she got annoyed and dropped the call. Pretty obvious it was a scam.
