This number rang me earlier today but I didn’t pick up ‘cos I didn’t know who it was. It just went to voicemail but there was no message. I had a quick look online and saw it’s linked to a scam. Funny thing is, they also tried calling me last Friday when I wasn’t paying attention.

Got a call from 01924420735, sounded like an African or Asian accent. The person said they were from BT and that there was an issue with my internet. I told them I’m not with BT and that someone told me to just ignore calls like this, then they started shouting and used some really rude language, even threatened to "beat me up!" Honestly, I was so grossed out I told them to get lost and hung up straight away.

Got a call from an Asian bloke claiming he was with Microsoft, trying to check if I owned a Microsoft computer. I said I didn't have one, but then he somehow pulled my name out of nowhere and started yelling at me when I told him to remove my number and stop calling. Proper rude, just shouting away. After a bit, he slammed the phone down. Absolutely not what I needed on a Saturday morning!

They actually knew my full name and where I live, which freaked me out a bit. The caller claimed I had some kind of cyber security issue. Since I know a fair bit about that stuff, I probably should have played along and kept them chatting to waste their time. Instead, I just told them it was rubbish and told them to buzz off. I reckon this could turn nasty if someone got sucked into their tale.

Mostly get dodgy calls from what sounds like an Asian call centre - loads of scams about Amazon Prime and fake tax stuff. Proper conmen trying to trick you.

Some bloke called saying he was with Microsoft and was checking on my BT router. I played along, asking loads of questions and messing about, pretending I couldn’t catch his accent, so he kept having to say the same thing over again. Eventually, I told him I didn’t even have a BT router and clocked he was trying to scam me, so I just hung up.

This morning I got two calls about cyber security, one right after the other. The first was a woman speaking from what sounded like a bad long-distance line - lots of crackling. Then, almost straight away, a man called about the same thing. Bit strange, if you ask me.

These people are so pushy, especially if you try to argue with them. Best thing is to just hang up or put the phone down and get on with making a cuppa. Definitely scammers, no doubt about it.

Received a call from 01924 420735 purporting to be from BT, which is odd since I’m actually with Virgin. The caller insisted there'd been a breach in my internet security and that I must follow some instructions. I politely declined, asking for the details instead. He rather condescendingly remarked that I wouldn’t comprehend the technicalities! That was quite a misjudgment on his part. While I don't claim to be an expert, that’s beside the issue. Quite a peculiar encounter, and he seemed rather put out when I mentioned I'd be reaching out to my actual provider for clarification!

totally fake call, just hang up straight away. they say they’re from microsoft and want you to mess with your computer or something. i act like i’m clueless, tell them my computer is old and slow, then make a cuppa and chuck a load of washing on to buy time. when they keep pushing, i say i’m gonna call my partner who supposedly works in microsoft’s fraud team - then they just cut off. love wasting their time a bit lol. if you haven’t heard of this scam before, it can be pretty risky.

Got a call from this number saying they were from BT, but I’m actually with Virgin. They said my internet had a security breach at the end of December. After me asking several times when exactly it happened, they started telling me to follow some steps on my tablet and laptop. I said no, just explain what I’ve got to do, but they told me it was too technical for me to get. I asked how could they be sure if I wouldn’t understand it or not? I just said I’d get in touch with Virgin and hung up. Seems dodgy to me!

today this number rang me twice but coz i didn't know who it was i just let it ring out to voicemail. there was no message left either. my advice is to save only the numbers you actually know in your phone so you don't answer random calls. if it was important or real, they’d for sure leave a voicemail.
