Earlier today, I received a call from someone claiming to be from "PC Wizard." Just wanted to let everyone know that these types of calls are nothing but scams. It's best not to share any personal details and simply report them instead.

I received a call from a lady who had an accent from Asia, and she began rambling about some sort of virus affecting my computer. Her words were rather mumbled, and I struggled to make sense of what she was saying. Then she wanted me to switch on my computer and do as she said. Naturally, I ended the conversation rather abruptly.

We reckon it’s a dodgy automated setup. Gave them a right telling off, stressing that they ought to remove our number ASAP, or we’d have to notify Ofcom. After that, we just hung up on them.

I picked up the call, but the person on the other end hung up abruptly. Wondering if it had anything to do with me being a bloke?

Today, I received three back-to-back calls from this number. During the initial call, the chap on the other end inquired whether I was a certain individual whose name I completely missed. I responded with a 'no', to which he replied with a bemused 'wrong number?'. I couldn’t help but chuckle at the situation, saying 'obviously'. He didn’t seem too pleased with my laughter! Instead, he insisted he was trying to locate the rightful owner of this number. I told him I was none the wiser about who he was looking for and promptly said ‘goodbye’ before hanging up. I chose to ignore the subsequent calls. They were swiftly followed by an 0844 number, which I also chose not to pick up. At least the calls have ceased for now. Should they attempt to reach me again, I'll be ignoring them and filing a report.
