I honestly have no clue who these dodgy people are that keep phoning me from this number or what their deal is. Do the social workers who look after them even know they're harassing folks with these pointless, irritating calls? My number’s on the telephone preference service list, so I’m certain these calls are part of some kinda con. Proper businesses check that list and never cold call numbers on it, so this is just dodgy behaviour.

Steer clear of Direct Save Telecom - they’re a nightmare whether you’re dealing with their sales tactics or their broadband services. I answered a call from them, and what do you know? They promptly hung up on me! After a brief moment of silence, some dubious connection was made, and my phone erupted into a cacophony of low-quality music for a good twenty seconds. It’s maddening and completely baffling, as I can't trace where that audio is coming from on my Android. It’s not located in any storage that I can sift through. Quite unsettling, wouldn’t you say? Malwarebytes hasn’t turned up anything suspicious either. I’m stuck trying to figure out my next move, especially since grabbing the phone again just puts me in touch with a DST customer service rep. To be honest, this experience has been far more exasperating than your typical junk calls.

Seems like this is from Directsave Telecom, who handle my broadband. The number’s not the same as what’s on their letters but it does start with 01925. For me, it’s legit but if you’re not a customer already, it might be dodgy.

I got a call from this number, someone pretending to be Alex Jones trying to sell mobile phone deals, but they were using someone else's details. Turns out the guy behind it is Terry Holmes from Birmingham. Apparently, he’s doing this weird stuff because he wants to get back with his ex-wife, who he sadly abused, and he’s been trying to turn the kids against her too. He hides behind a proxy server online to do all this.

I let the lady quote me for what I’m paying now, and it was almost twice as much as my current deal. She kept nagging, asking if I wanted to sign up right then and there. This kind of cold calling feels like high-pressure selling, especially as it’s unasked for and I reckon they’re banking on some folks being easily persuaded into contracts.
