Honestly, it was the National Lottery on the other end. I'd been having some trouble with my account, and they phoned me to say the problem was sorted. They asked a few security questions first, but when it came to changing my payment info, they never actually requested any card details. They just told me to update my account myself to check everything was working. And sure enough, it all went through fine.
