Received a rather strange phone call and honestly couldn’t make head or tail of what they were on about. Decided to block the number.

Got a call from an unfamiliar number today. I picked up and then just left the phone down without saying anything. A woman with an accent that definitely wasn’t British kept saying “hello?” a few times, but when I stayed quiet, she gave up and ended the call. You could hear loads of chatter in the background, like a busy call centre. Pretty sure it was just another dodgy scam.

I received a call out of the blue from a number that wasn’t saved in my contacts. Curiously, I decided to pick up and set my phone down on the table. A woman with what seemed to be a non-British accent-maybe from Eastern Europe?-kept repeating "hello?" several times before she eventually hung up when I didn’t chime in. There was quite a racket from what sounded like a call centre in the background. It’s very likely that this was some sort of scam.
