some bloke called me claiming he was ‘josh’ from bt saying my internet was getting hacked or something - couldn't make out much coz of his heavy south asian accent. he wanted me to download some dodgy app so he could take control of my pc. i’ve seen loads of videos about this kinda stuff and knew straight away it was a con. i told him to get lost and had a laugh at how daft his scam was. seriously, don’t pick up phone calls from random numbers, especially if you don’t know them - you never know what scam they’ll try next lol.

This bloke called me saying he was from BT and claimed there were issues with my internet speed. He tried to get me to open a website on my computer while guiding me through it. He had a thick Asian accent, making it quite tricky to catch everything. I told him straight up it was a scam and to jog on.
