3 yearsI got a call from 01922 422660 and when I checked the answerphone, it said South Staffordshire group of companies. But when I asked my housing association, they said they never heard of them and mentioned it might be a water company. They said someone would be coming round on 29th Nov 23 at 10.30am. What they don’t know is I’ll have a mate with me who’s a police officer in the fraud squad. Should be quite entertaining if they turn out to be scammers...South Staffordshire3 yearsGot a call from 019220422660, sounded like a woman talking really quick, couldn't properly make out what she was saying. She claimed to be ringing on behalf of my housing association. So I rang my housing association myself and they had no clue about it! They asked if it was the water company. Then I phoned the number back using a withheld number so mine wouldn’t show up. The recording said it was South Staffordshire Group of Companies and that they’d ring me back. My housing association told me if anyone turns up, to check their ID card and then phone the police. I’ve got a mate who works in fraud, so I’m thinking of getting them involved to scare these lot off. Normally I don’t even let strangers near my place. When I checked that number on a reverse lookup, loads of different people claimed to be them.
