Total scam, got a recorded message saying my internet was hacked or something. Definitely a trick to scare you.

Got a call supposedly from BT tech support saying my internet security was at risk. I’ve actually had a similar call come through from a foreign number marked as a scam, so I just ended the call before they finished speaking.

I got a call from someone claiming they were from BT, saying my internet IP had been hacked and to press a number. I didn’t press anything and just hung up. Pretty sure it’s a scam, so best not to pick up!
