7 yearsI got a call from someone saying they were with BT, and they even gave me my computer's CLSID as "proof" they were legit. Then they asked me to download something from anydesk[###], claiming it would help stop unauthorised access to my broadband. I didn’t trust it one bit and ended the call straight away. The two folks I spoke to both had thick accents, maybe Asian, but I couldn’t really tell. I never let them get far enough to see what their real plan was, but honestly, I’m guessing it was a scam.
