Got a call from an overseas number, but the guy said I could ring him back on that same number. He was trying to sell some kind of call blocking gadget. When I asked about the price, he said it was cheaper than Maplin’s, but honestly, if I’d given him my bank info, I doubt I’d ever get the product. 100% a scam in my opinion.

This number has rung me three times today claiming to be from CPR callblockers, trying to sign me up for some gadget to block unwanted calls - quite ironic since they’re annoying me themselves. The person sounded like they knew my name, postcode, and phone number but then asked for my bank card info. I told them straight up I never share such details over the phone and firmly asked them to stop calling me.

I usually keep my answerphone on and find it quite amusing to think that cold callers might be wasting their time and money listening to my message. On this occasion, I did pick up because I was expecting a call from a family member in hospital, and the number looked really close to theirs. A chap with a foreign accent called out my name, mentioned my phone number and address, then rattled off a load of stuff really quickly. It quickly became clear from his questions that he definitely wasn’t from the NHS. When I told him to stop ringing me, he was surprisingly rude. Straight back to the answerphone for me!
