Just got a call from 0049619335135 claiming they were from BT Openreach. The person had a really thick Asian accent and was telling me that my internet had been hacked, that they were stealing my passwords and bank info. I asked where they were calling from, and they said London but then when I pressed about the number they gave a mess of nonsense about the phone line. I told them I wasn’t buying it and then the line went dead. Sounds like a scam trying to get my details to sell fake computer security. Glad I stood my ground and wasted a bit of their time!

Got a call from a 0191 number that cut off after about 20 seconds. Guess they wanted me to ring them back. Blocked it straight away.

I received a rather alarming call from someone claiming to be from the police department. They threatened me with the issuance of a warrant under my name if I continued to disregard my tax payments. Quite the scare tactic, if you ask me!

Got a call from this company trying to offer a free review of our PPC services. I politely told the bloke it wasn’t what we needed and explained why. He then mentioned he’d ring back in 6 to 8 months, but I told him it wasn’t worth it and we ended the call. As he hung up - or thought he had - I heard him mutter something under his breath. Seriously mate, we all know cold calling isn't easy, but if you can’t handle a polite refusal without grumbling, maybe this isn’t the line of work for you. Honestly, I wouldn’t bother with this firm.

said i was calling from the police. the guy, sounded asian, just said he didn’t care and wanted to speak to mr ##4####. i told him again I was from the police and then he just hung up. i’ve looked this number up before, it’s definitely linked to one of those ppi scams.

a guy with a British accent rang me and started by using my name. he rattled off his first name and company quite fast, then went on about solar panels being fitted at my place (which i've never had). when i quizzed him about the tps, he said he was aware of it, said sorry for disturbing me, and promised to tell his company boss to take me off their contact list. asked him again the company name and he just started to say it before hanging up. watch out, this sounds like a dodgy cold call. that number isn’t even real.
