2 yearsSounds a bit dodgy, if you ask me. Claimed to be a company offering debt relief, but I didn't stick around to chat for long.5 yearsGot a call from them on 16th Nov around 6.40pm, but honestly, I couldn’t make out what they were trying to say, so I just ended the call and blocked the number.5 yearsGot a call from this number and it was a polite guy with an Asian accent pretending to be from my bank. He was asking for my account info, which seemed off to me. Be careful with calls like this!5 yearsI didn’t pick up since I have a number blocked, but they just rang me from another one instead.5 yearsI got a call from a scammer trying to get my details. Best thing to do is just end the call straight away and block the number, dont engage with them.5 yearsSince Monday, I've received over 20 calls from different numbers all over the country, with each caller speaking in a really strong Asian accent. They say they're from some debt management company. Every time, they open with, "Is that...?" and only use my first name. Total mess of scammers - I’ve blocked them all.UK5 yearsSince Monday, I’ve been getting calls from loads of different numbers, each time a guy with a strong Asian accent saying he’s from some Credit Investigation Unit. At first, I was suspicious, but he surprised me by knowing my full name. He then asked if I owed any money, and I told him yeah, who doesn’t? Then he claimed the government was offering assistance. I told him to get lost and hung up. This all started after I applied for a loan online and specifically said I didn’t want any contact from third parties!Credit Investigation Unit5 yearsI started getting calls from this number today (17/11/21) and it’s been looked up over 600 times already! I’ve blocked it now - just wish they’d stop bothering me!5 yearsSo, I hit him up asking for a king prawn vindaloo, two chapattis, and a signed autograph from Gandhi, lol absolute madness!Gandhi5 yearsHave you ever had a chat with anyone from 'Cashplus'? If you’re getting calls from this number or other so-called 'debt advice' firms, it’s probably not just a random thing. I’m pretty sure Cashplus passed my info on to these debt help companies, maybe to get some sort of kickback, without telling me. I missed a payment after being in hospital unconscious for over two weeks. When I got out, I’ll admit my focus was only on myself. Cashplus was a new creditor and my payments were still done manually, so I missed theirs. They called, I sorted the payment, but they seemed dead set on pushing their debt advice services. I told them I was fine and it was just a one-off, but they kept insisting. At first I thought they were being really responsible, but I still said no thanks. Then, out of the blue, they started ringing constantly. Anyone else had the same experience, just going along with it?Submit Your Own Report (0191 949 0258)
