I've had this number ring me a couple of times today. I pick up and there's nothing for a few seconds, then you get this weird noise like a call centre, then it just hangs up. It feels like one of those spam calls but I'm not really sure.

Absolutely annoying! You tell them you're not interested, and then they ring you again the very next day. There really ought to be stricter rules for these kinds of companies. You block one number, and before you know it, they’re ringing from another one. Proper hassle.

In a rather cheeky move, I handed over the sort code and account number linked to our local council's parking fine collections. As soon as I relayed that information, she began to stutter about a poor connection, and then the line went utterly silent. A mere four hours passed, and I received a second call - this time from a chap who claimed he needed to assist in reclaiming funds that his company had mistakenly transferred into my account, asserting it was all a result of fraudulent activity.
