They claimed to be from my internet company. They talked about an old speed test and some event log stuff. Ended the call before they could get me to download any dodgy software.

Somebody called saying they're from Sky, saying my services are ending because of some compromise. They also mentioned 3 laptops connected, which I don't even own. When I told them they were making stuff up, the lady got really nasty.

Got two calls from this number, first one was yesterday. Some guy with an Asian accent said he was ringing about my Amazon Prime account. Thing is, I don’t have one, so when I told him that he called me a damn liar, so I just hung up. Then today, a woman rang saying she was from Windows plus, and because I used to live in council housing, she claimed she knew I owned the place as she had my info. After that second call, I looked up the number and saw it was the same one, so I’ve blocked it now.

Got a call at 10 in the morning from someone saying they were going to renew my Amazon Prime subscription for £39.99. They gave me a first and last name but confused it with someone else in my family. I told them I don’t even have an Amazon Prime account. The caller was an Asian guy and really pushy, wouldn’t take no for an answer. I ended up really frustrated and told him off, then he just hung up while I was mid-rant. Feels like one of those scams fishing for personal info or trying to grab bank card details.

Someone said they were from Windows Plus Roofs, which I think is based in the Team Valley area of Gateshead, and they use that North East actor Tim Healey or Healy in their TV adverts, right? Feels like it’s probably just some call centre doing work for loads of different firms. The person on the phone said they could "take my details off their list," but the number they called isn’t even linked to the name they asked for. Proper GDPR fail if you ask me. Just another annoying sales call, really.
