I got a call from this number, and initially, I was convinced it was a scam. However, shortly after, I got both an email and a text notifying me they had tried to reach me today but didn't manage to connect. It slipped my mind that I had set up a cleaning service appointment. Turns out, it’s a legitimate cleaning company based in Durham, and they’re listed with Companies House and other advertising platforms.

I got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft. I quickly hung up the phone and honestly, I’m not regretting it one bit. No chance I’d bother engaging in any sort of conversation with them!

Got a call earlier from 02921286614 and it seemed like a total scam, asked for personal details but I just ignored it. They called back but I chose not to pick up, instead I looked up the number here first. Pretty clear it’s dodgy.

A few years back, I received phone calls claiming to be from Microsoft. I decided to reach out to them via email, and they informed me that they couldn't even verify if there were issues with my computer. Essentially, it was a scam to gain access to my system. Now, I’ve invested in a BT8600 telephone that screens out unknown callers, and it’s truly worth the money spent!

I just got a call from a woman with an Indian or Pakistani accent claiming to be from Microsoft. She said my PC was infected and hacked. I pretended to be worried and even told her to turn on my computer. Then I told her to go away in a pretty rude way. She started telling me to shut up, but I threw some swear words back at her before she ended the call.

I got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent claiming he was from Microsoft, saying my computer was hacked and my photos were stolen, full of viruses and all that. Luckily, I work in IT, so I humoured him for a bit, acting like I was falling for the scam since he was footing the bill for the call. After a while, I asked him how Microsoft could spot issues on my Apple Mac, since I don’t use their software. Then I gave him a blunt rundown of what I thought of his scam. That’s when he just hung up.

For the last three days i've been getting calls from this bloke with a kind of eastern accent. He just doesn't listen if you say no, keeps pushing.

For the last three days, we've had this chap ringing us up-his voice has a distinctly Asian lilt to it. No matter how many times we tell him we're not interested, he simply won’t budge!

this asian guy called me saying i got a virus on my computer. i told him straight up it was a scam and then he just told me to be quiet and then cut me off. weird and rude!

It's just that same boring scam about your computer or router being full of viruses. I usually mess around with them a bit and then they end up hanging up. Keeps it a bit entertaining!

I've looked into various websites, and it appears that the Microsoft scammers are merely exploiting them. They'll retreat temporarily if you refuse to engage with them. There's absolutely no reason to feel any remorse about this; just stay firm and don’t divulge any information.

I got a call from this number about some computer stuff, so I told them I'd put a police sergeant on the line to chat with them. They just hung up straight away. Definitely a scam trying to swindle money from you.

Received a call from Microsoft today. The most infuriating bit? Instead of saying 'D for Delta' when reciting my first name, she blurted out 'D for Donkey'! How ridiculous!
