Got a call early today from an automated woman’s voice claiming to be from BT, warning me that my phone and internet services would be disconnected because of some “suspicious activity” on my account. They told me to press 1 to fix the "problem." Do NOT press any buttons they ask for, it’s just a scam to connect you to a premium cost line. You’ll end up talking to a con artist trying to swindle your money and you’ll be stuck with the call charges too. The number that showed up on my phone was 0191 850 1641 - watch out for it!
