Had a call from 02 recently. Chatted with the same adviser who helped me with my upgrade at the Gateshead shop, turns out the callcentre was just sorting out the contract upgrade stuff for the store. I even rang 02 myself to be sure, and they told me it was legit, showing on my account that I'd been properly upgraded as per the chat.
