Got a call from 01918282044 earlier. A lady with an Indian accent claimed to be from a motor insurance firm regarding a car crash I supposedly had. Thing is, I haven’t been driving for ages and haven’t been in any accident, not even as a passenger. I asked if I could say something, she said yes, then I told her to get lost, calling her a scammer. She didn’t say a word and just cut the call straight away. Definitely a total scam!

This number rang me up claiming to be Uber Eats, telling me they were having trouble pushing orders through to my tablet - I run a small restaurant. Turns out, they managed to break into my email via my Uber account and switched my password. Thankfully, I was still signed into my email when I spotted a message warning about strange login attempts from Lahore. Absolutely dodgy scammers after personal info. Watch out, folks.

This number rang me up but it wasn’t the usual TV service call. Instead, I got a robotic voice warning me about several payments made from my account in China or something like that. I just ended the call straight away. Seems like just another scam trying the same tricks with that number.

Got a call from this number claiming it was about TV repairs, but it’s just a scam from a call centre in India pretending it’s a UK line. Don’t even waste your time talking to them. They’ll probably ring back from slightly different numbers, so best to just block them all straight away. Be careful!

Today around 11:20 am I got a call from a woman who sounded Asian, claiming to be calling from something like Sky Assurance. She told me my TV cover was about to run out and asked me to renew it. She stated that I'd been paying £11.99 every month since 2018, which I find really fishy. Then she tried to pitch me a "special deal" for renewal that would also include my washing machine and other electrical stuff. The details she was giving me kept switching about, it didn't make much sense.

Absolute nightmare! They scared my missus, and that’s just not on at all. How can they go about terrifying older folks like us? We’ve never caused them any trouble, so what’s the point? Honestly, I’m pleading with them to just cut it out.

Whenever I get a call, I always ask straight up who’s calling. Legit people usually say their name, but scammers tend to clam up. Today was no different - silence on the other end. Pretty obvious it was a scammer!

Got a call today saying it would cost me £99 for a year or £160 for two years to protect my Sky account. I told them to cancel and they tried to get me to pay £80 to do so. Didn’t give them any money because they wanted my bank details, which seemed dodgy since the account isn’t even under my name. Now they keep ringing me back.

Got two calls from this number, the message was quite unclear but they kept asking for payment about some second maintenance for my TV gear. Got a call from them like four times today, and each time they sounded more pushy. They kept nagging about some insurance for TVs and gadgets costing £99 a year, claiming I’d already paid last year. Honestly, I’d never waste money insuring a TV now - it’s cheaper just to replace it rather than pay for some dodgy cover. As for the gear, Virgin’s the one in charge of that anyway.

It was pretty creepy how he already knew my name and where I lived, but it was clear he was a scammer trying to push some sort of TV insurance, maybe from Sky or a similar company. When I asked about the brand of my TV, he said, "Ma'am, we don’t have that info." So I told him to either email my account or post something to my address if he was for real. They called me about some Sky Maintenance plan. Told me I was paying £11.99 each month as part of my Sky deal, but now there's a one-off payment option for just £99 a year through Paypal. The woman insisted, "No missus, your home insurance won’t cover your telly." I started throwing numbers at her coz I’m pretty clued up on my bills, then asked why she was trying to con me, and she just hung up on me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Sky Assurance, blabbering about some maintenance payments supposedly taken by direct debit for my TV gear. I clocked it was dodgy right away. Told the lady I hadn’t got a clue what she was on about and never seen anything like that on my bank records. She mentioned a payment of £11.99, but it's apparently bundled cheaper at £99 yearly. I asked her which company exactly, since I don’t even have Sky TV! She insisted it was Sky! I fibbed back, saying I didn’t own any streaming boxes. Next thing, she just hung up on me 😂.

Somebody down there went and said a daft "yes" to a scammer. They’re always tryin’ clever things to get you to agree to stuff. Best advice: never say “yes” on the phone if you don’t know who it is! If you get texts from scammers, send them to 7726 and help get them stopped.
