Got a robo call telling me my internet would be cut off if I didn’t press 1 to keep it going. I’m not falling for that, heard about these dodgy scams from a mate who got caught up in one.

I got a automated call saying it was from my internet company, warning me that my service would be cut off soon. They said to hit 1 if I wanted to avoid it. Sounded a bit dodgy to me.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent who barely spoke English properly. He claimed to be from VISA and wanted to check my recent transactions and card info, supposedly to verify my account. He sounded like he was just reading from a script because when I asked tricky questions, he wouldn’t change his story. As soon as I called him out for being a scammer, he just hung up on me.

I had a call from an automated voice claiming my internet service would be disconnected in a day or two, and they told me to press 1 to speak with someone. I just hung up and blocked the number straight away.
