Had a call from 01918159300 claiming to be from Virgin Media, but when I checked with Virgin, they said they had no record of that number. The woman on the phone, who sounded Indian and gave the name Julia, told me I owed £79.99 on my Virgin account. I thought it was suspicious, especially since I knew that prefix should be for Newcastle upon Tyne. When I dialled the number back, it just said, "the number you have dialled is not recognised, please check and try again." Turns out, this number is actually part of a series of Indian phone numbers. Total scam!
