I had a call from an unknown number and just let it go to voicemail without saying anything. Honestly, if Ofcom don’t step in, what’s the point of making a fuss? You can block every number but they just ring from a new one. Maybe if enough of us send letters to Ofcom demanding action, they might actually do something about it. There’s got to be a way to track these nuisance callers and take them down. I’m stuck at home right now and getting about six annoying calls daily. I’m definitely reporting every single one of them.

But then he pushed me to set up a direct debit and hand over my bank details. When I said no thanks, he got really pushy and rude. He also gave me a so-called Customer Care number 02045253538. Just a heads up, this is definitely a lottery scam. I kept him talking on the phone because I was pretty sure it was dodgy and wanted to hear him ask for my bank info.

Somebody rang me up claiming I'd bagged the lottery. I was like, "Right, how much did I win?" Then they went on saying I hadn't won any money but got ten free entries instead. Since I don’t usually bother with online lottery and was a bit tied up, I just ended the call thinking it sounded dodgy. xx

I used to order from a company called "Easylife" and noticed that right after placing an order, these annoying calls would start coming through. After a long back and forth, I finally got my account with them cancelled. Even though that’s sorted, the weird calls haven't stopped and seem linked somehow.

It’s baffling how authorities don’t seem to step in to stop these kinds of frauds. I got the call on my mobile, since with a landline you normally have to say your name and company first. People should report this to the cops, who could then pass it onto the right people to deal with it.
