Yeah, it’s nothing dodgy, it’s C-part Vehicle Salvage. Usually, when there's been an accident, the insurance folks will get C-part to handle the damaged car. I run a recovery biz and they often take insurance write offs from me. Every now and then I don’t have the vehicle, but that’s usually coz either the owner or the insurer chose another option. Definitely not some scam or anything.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Copart asking about picking up a crash-damaged BMW. Thing is, I don’t have a BMW and haven’t been in any accidents for ages. Loads of others seem to be getting the same spiel, so it’s probably some dodgy scam, even if Copart themselves are above board. Can’t imagine they’d mess up this bad so often though.

I got a call from someone claiming my insurance company asked them to get in touch about some driver hitting my parked car. But when I rang up my insurance, they said they never sent anyone to call me. Very confusing!

Got a missed call from 01918144248 earlier. They showed up as "Copart UK" with a company logo and all, but something felt off. I don’t think I’d fit their client profile at all, so it smells like a scam trying to fish for info. Definitely gonna block the number and report it. Seriously, never share personal details with strangers calling outta the blue!

As some folks mentioned before, it’s totally legit - this is Co-Part. I set up a van donation via GiveACar, and Co-Part are the ones handling collections for them right now. They’ll give you a ring to sort out when and how they’ll pick up your vehicle.

Got a call from this number on our landline, but no voicemail was left. (These days I’m a bit wary about answering calls from unknown numbers.) That said, based on others’ comments here, it might not be spam - could be related to a recent claim we made after a family car was written off.

Got a call from this number with a voicemail about some new registration number, asking me to ring back. Before that, they said my insurance company was trying to reach me about an accident. None of this relates to me at all. It shows up as a mobile phone number.

It's totally legit, it's Co-Part, a big salvage firm nationwide. They rang up to sort out collecting my car, which I've sold to a garage. The lady I spoke with was really nice and even wanted my email so they could confirm it for a Trustpilot review. I was a bit wary at first and didn’t pick up straight away since I don’t usually trust calls from unfamiliar numbers, but after seeing on here that it was Co-Part, I felt reassured because I was expecting their call anyway.

Got a call from Zoe about picking up a car after an accident, but I told her none of our cars have been involved in any crashes and we definitely didn’t request a tow. She then said maybe the insurance gave her the wrong info and promised to check back with them to sort it out.
