I haven't a clue who was behind that call from this number. It was some automated voice insisting that I press 1 to steer clear of an arrest warrant supposedly issued in my name. They claimed I was under scrutiny for tax evasion, typical of those con artists masquerading as HMRC.

Got a call from an unknown number, could barely hear a few muffled voices in the back but then it just dropped out. Really strange, no clue who it was.

I didn’t pick up at first just to be safe, but when I rang back it said the number wasn’t valid! That’s a huge warning sign, definitely block if it ever rings you.

Some robot kept telling me to press 1 or I'd get arrested, sounded fishy right away. Total scam. HMRC always sends letters first if there's an issue, they don’t just call and threaten like that. Always check properly before panicking.
