A supposed Energy Consultant reached out to me, chatting about loft insulation options. The moment I mentioned that I was a renter, they abruptly ended the call. How rude!

I had a rather charming woman named "Jane" reach out to me, claiming she wanted to give me a complimentary medical alert pendant. However, once she probed into my age and I declined to share such personal information, the call abruptly ended. Quite the odd encounter!

Got a call asking if I was above 70 and then trying to sell me a necklace. I told them I wasn’t interested and hung up straight away. Definitely looks like a scam to me.

this woman kept saying hello, can you hear me? I replied yes, but then she said it again, and the call just went silent. I kept saying hello a few times before I decided to hang up. It turned out to be some sort of automated message, totally a scam. I never actually spoke to a real person. I've blocked the number now because from what I gather, they target folks over 70 and trick them into buying some pointless bracelet. Definitely dodgy.

I missed the call, but I've got a strong suspicion it's a dodgy one.

They kept chatting about some free health check thing, but it was totally a rip-off.

This lady sounded pretty clear and polite at first, she began with “Are you able to hear me?” I replied with “I can hear you” rather than just saying yes. Then she mentioned something about a free medical alert bracelet and asked if I was above 70. I told her I don’t deal with unsolicited calls and then ended the call. It seemed to me like it might have been some sort of scam.

They began by talking about a free medical alert, very friendly at first. But then it turned into a massive sales pitch - best to stay clear of it.

They asked if I was hearing them clearly, but I just said sorry. They replied with "alright then," and wished me a nice day after that.

Definitely a scam. At first, a lady answered, then the caller switched to a bloke claiming they were from Dorset. He asked if I was over 70 and said I qualified for a medical alert bracelet. I told him no thanks, and then he said they must have got the wrong info about me.

Got a call from a number with a Sunderland, Durham, or Newcastle code but since we don’t know anyone around there, we just let it ring off. Predictably, there was no voicemail left. It’s a bit dodgy really, considering we just got a new car last week and it feels like the dealership passed our number to a bunch of data firms. Since then, we’ve been getting loads of calls from numbers that vanish when you try to call back. Quite annoying!

Got a call about a free medical alert bracelet because apparently I’m old enough to get one. I asked them who exactly qualified for this deal... silence. Then I asked where they’d found my number... nothing again. When I mentioned I’m on the TPS list and asked why they were ringing me, they hung up quick smart! Wish I’d kept them on longer, would have been funny to waste their time and money a bit :)

They claimed to be from Medical Alert and told me I could get a free medical alert device. But the moment I asked how they had my number, they just went silent and then hung up. Definitely a scam!

I received a call from someone claiming they were giving away a complimentary medical alarm pendant that could be worn either around the neck or on the wrist. However, the person then went on to mention that it would actually cost me more than a pound per day! Just as he started probing for my bank information, I swiftly hung up. I've since blocked the number.

Received a call from a number starting with the Newcastle, Durham, or Sunderland code - a complete mystery to us, so we decided to dismiss it. As expected, no voicemail was left. It's rather odd, though, given we just purchased a new car last week. The dealership seemed to have freely shared our contact information with various data management firms. Since then, we've been inundated with calls from numbers that, when attempted to be called back, turn out to be ghosts. Quite the curious situation, if you ask me!

I got a call where the person kept saying “hello, can you hear me? hello?” like they weren’t sure if I was there, which was strange since they could clearly hear me. Then they told me I might qualify to get some kind of alert device and asked if I was over 70. I said I wasn’t, and that was the end of that. Something about the whole thing felt off, like maybe they were after access to my info or something. It just didn’t sit right with me at all.

Got a call saying I had a delivery at my house from some company called Driveway or something. Told them straight up I don't do cold calls and I never asked for anything. Seems like a scam, same number linked to a firm in Ireland which rang me silently yesterday. The company Twilio Ireland Limited also messaged me from a different location earlier. Looks like these annoying calls are on the rise again. Honestly, can anyone trust these jokers?

So, this woman called Jane claimed she was calling about a free medical alert button, said I’d qualified for one. She sounded polite and knew what she was talking about, which made her seem legit.
