Somebody rang me just like this once, but the moment I said, "oh yep, I was in an accident," they abruptly ended the call. They were getting all excited thinking they had me. I turned it around on them though by saying, "Okay then, can you tell me exactly when it happened, where, and what car make, model and registration you’re talking about? Because sadly, I’ve had two separate accidents with different cars." That’s when they quickly hung up. Got ’em fair and square!

For the past ten days, I’ve been getting calls from this number and others nearly identical, just the last digits switched up whenever I block one. They’re always different things - housing repairs, accident claims, life insurance, even washing machine warranties - it’s driving me mad. Some of them get pretty rude and argumentative too, and they’re all men with foreign accents. Honestly, these scammers have got to be cracked down on, it’s getting seriously out of hand.
