Received a call from this number and as soon as I picked up, the person on the other end just hung up instantly. Quite peculiar, really.

The moment I picked up the call, the unmistakable sound of ringing on their end alerted me that I was dealing with a scam artist. The chap on the line had the audacity to claim that the warranty on my Hotpoint washing machine had expired and that I urgently needed to sort out a renewal. The catch? I've never owned a washing machine, let alone one from Hotpoint-I'm reliant on my sister’s machine, which she conveniently keeps just across the street! In a fit of exasperation, I let loose on him with a barrage of choice words until I paused to catch my breath, at which point he had the nerve to reply with a polite "Thank you." I took it upon myself to contact Hotpoint directly, but to my dismay, they seemed utterly indifferent to the fraud issue at hand. Consequently, Hotpoint has officially dropped off my list of potential purchases!
