I told him I wasn’t convinced and said, “That sounds like it could be ‘scammersRus’, covered by the BBC as well, but I don’t watch telly much.” Had better things to do than sit through that rubbish. When I asked where he got my number from, he said the national database. Which one, I pressed? “Ah, you wouldn’t know,” was the reply. Funny that, since no such place exists and it feels more like they’re fishing for info to scam me or something. I then asked about the weather in Mumbai - trying to catch him out. After a bit, I just said, “Look, mate, we’ll end it here.” But he begged to keep talking, said he was bored to death, then suddenly went *click*. Calling him back got nothing. Proper cheeky, really. In the end, I blocked the number and doubt he’ll try again.
