Every number starting with 0191 that rings on my mobile turns out to be a nuisance. No matter how many I block, another one just pops up. The other day, someone called pretending to sympathise about a car accident and asked if I wanted to claim. When I told them they’d got the wrong person, they suddenly switched to saying I’d won a draw and could claim a prize. I decided to mess with them and gave out fake bank details - sort code 99-99-99 and account number 9999999. The caller didn't find it funny and just hung up rudely. I thought these calls were banned nowadays, but clearly, scammers find loopholes. It's weird, though, because this only started happening after I got a new phone and switched to 02/Telefonica. Makes me wonder if they’re passing my info around. Might have to report them to the watchdog next.
