I've been getting calls from this number everytime I put something up to sell on gumtree. It's always like clockwork - I get one from London and then another from Manchester. This one just showed up recently though, so dunno if it’s connected or just a coincidence. Didn’t pick up, of course.

After seeing what people said, I just went ahead and blocked that number. I never pick up when I don’t know who’s calling anyway. But about that muppet who dropped those racist remarks - is there any way to track them down and get them reported? That kind of stuff is just plain rude and hurtful to other folks reading it. No matter how cheesed off you feel, there’s really no excuse for sinking to that kind of rubbish.

got a call from someone saying they was from esb energy, asked for me by my first name. i asked who was calling and a really polite young lady said it was esb trying to help me save a bit on my energy bills. she asked how i was paying for my energy now, and i ended up breaking down on the phone, telling her i’d lost my wife, my house, everything really, and was basically homeless with just my phone and the clothes i was wearing - but not for long. she gently said alright then, goodbye and hung up. not much in the way of compassion from her really.
