Really weird call. The voice was mumbling something I couldnt make out properly, then it said if you dont want to hear from us just press a number but never said which one. Then it just hung up. Then, a little while later, this same number rang me a few times but I didn't pick up. Not sure if the text and calls are linked or it was just a weird coincidence. Its just a call centre working for these supposed 'companies', cold calling people to drum up biz. Some might be proper new firms collecting info, but most are probably trying to scam you by getting your card and personal details. If they hang up as soon as you pick up, dont bother calling back cos they might put you on hold to rack up crazy call charges and make cash off you. Best thing is block the number through your phone settings. They'll often ring from a similar number, only changing the last couple of digits, so you'll just have to keep blocking im afraid!

Got a call from First Utility asking who pays the bill, they mentioned doing a quote and all that. Told them I’ve just switched suppliers and saved about £240 on my bill. They said alright, they’d take me off their list. I’d had loads of calls from them before, checked my landline call history. Fingers crossed they actually took me off like they said.
