I got a ring from this number about some savings they could offer. The bloke was chatting to my husband, but I always told him to put me on first, and only after I said it was okay would he carry on talking with my husband. Definitely not from BT.

Got two calls from the same number, a woman with a Geordie accent saying she was from BT. She said my account's about to end and offered me a new discount. Thing is, my account isn’t actually ending anytime soon. When I asked her to tell me the exact date, she stalled, saying it would take a while to check. Then she tried to get me to give personal info for GDPR stuff. I just hung up. Definitely sounds like a scam. Watch out for this one.

Got a call not long ago from some bloke claiming he was with BT, had a proper thick northern accent. Said my broadband contract was running out and offered to set up a new deal that might save me a few quid. got a call out of the blue from someone claiming to be from “bt” saying my broadband deal was ending soon and they wanted to talk about renewing it. honestly, i didn’t even realise my contract had an expiry date! the woman was super polite and sounded really convincing tho. i told her i was about to leave and asked if she could ring back the next day. she agreed nicely and promised to do so. we’ll see what happens! i never trust phone offers though. interestingly, they don’t use the asian accents anymore - now it’s more local voices, probably to seem more believable. watch out!

She then told me I couldn’t call her number back, instead I’d need to ring 150 for customer care. The digits she gave did match my account, but I never admitted to that. Felt like a dodgy scam to me.
