Got a cold call from this number but they didn’t leave any voicemail or say anything when I answered.

I got calls from a business called ResQ, who are around Seaham but their main office is in Hull. Turns out they were ringing from EE. I ignored about 5 or 6 calls and when I finally picked up, they already had info on my account like my balance and when I last added credit. I ended up changing my plan and got double the data and calls for the same money. They're legit and quite nice to talk to, no scam here.

There’s a firm called ResQ from Seaham with their main office in Hull. They were ringing from EE actually. I saw about 5 or 6 missed calls before picking up and they had details on my account, even how much credit was left and when I last topped up. I ended up switching and got double data and minutes for the same cost. Not a scam, they were quite nice really.

Some bloke said he was from EE and was giving me a discount but I had to accept it on the phone. He wanted my info but I said I wasn’t comfortable sharing that on a call. Then he said he’d send a text so I’d know it was legit, but I declined. When I asked if I could get the offer through my account, he said no, it could only be done on the phone.

I usually don’t pick up when this number rings because it’s never anyone I recognise or have talked to before. They don’t bother leaving a voicemail either. Most of the calls come in the evenings or on weekends. This week alone, they’ve phoned at least three times, and over November and December, maybe a dozen times or more.

Received a rather peculiar call today. This bloke claimed to be Father Christmas, boasting about a bag brimming with goodies. He insisted I cough up £10 to claim my spoils, but lo and behold, when I peeked at my banking app, a whopping £100,000 had vanished! Naturally, I was fuming and decided to channel my frustration into a spot of baking - whipped up a classic Victoria sponge. It turned out beautifully airy and light. I slathered it with jam and cream, and in it went straight to my mouth. A most delightful distraction, I must say. Cheers! X

Hello there! I received a rather curious call from someone purporting to be from EE, claiming that there are upgrades and special offers available for my mobile, smartwatch, and tablets. They inquired if I was the account holder, and I confirmed I was, although I was a bit preoccupied with the nursery run at the time, as the number struck me as a bit dodgy. The caller then wanted to know a convenient time to ring back, so I'm awaiting another call later. I promptly contacted EE using the 150 helpline, but they informed me that there were no notes indicating that anyone had made a call to me. They did mention it might be from a different department, given I have a smartwatch attached to my account that is eligible for an upgrade. However, after reading through various comments, I think I’ll just give any subsequent calls a miss!

Today, a telephone number reached out to me, requesting that I create a password for my account. The caller started off by inquiring about my name and the make of my phone. I figured he should already be aware of that information and when I probed, he claimed it was for ‘data protection’ purposes. Trusting my instincts, which felt rather uneasy, I decided to politely decline his request. The whole thing didn’t really seem like a legitimate call centre operation, to be honest.

I received a rather dubious text from this number claiming they couldn't process my recent bill and urging me to update my payment details through a linked page. It smelled fishy, so I’d advise steering clear of that link-it's clearly a phishing attempt trying to fleece unsuspecting folks. Well, I received a call from someone who said they were from EE. They wanted me to verify my name, so I played along and provided a different name - not one associated with my account. They then claimed they didn’t have any account details. When they requested bits of my password, I thought it best to hang up. They gave it another go later on, but I’ve since blocked their number.
