This is beyond annoying!!! They ring me at least a couple of times every day. I just block the number but they keep on phoning. I rang my work switchboard and as soon as I picked up the call was cut off, so I blocked the number straight away.

Called me two times today. I returned the call and they said they were from Scottish Power. When I asked why they were ringing me, they said it was just to check how many meters I have. I told them Scottish Power should already know that, but like a typical call centre reply, he said he didn’t have that info on his screen. I warned him that if I got any more calls like this, I’d report them and push it all the way. Then the call just finished.

Loads of dodgy energy sales calls coming from 0191 lately. Seems like they've stumbled across my old business site (shut the place back in 2020). They kept asking for the finance director. I said she was just on another line and I'd pass them through, then left them on hold 😂😂😂😂😂 Surprisingly, they hung around for a whole 10 minutes! Then I went ahead and blocked their number!

Spoke to the Scottish Power Business sales team and honestly, they saved me the hassle of ringing up myself since my contract was about to end. Really nice and easy to talk to. Sometimes there was a bit of background noise, but I suppose that’s just what you get with call centres these days. They sent me the agreement in about two weeks, so seems pretty genuine to me. Plus, if I ring Scottish Power directly, they send me to this same team anyway.

Got a call from Scottish Power, some bloke asking for the company director by his first name. I told him the director doesn’t entertain cold calls about energy suppliers (if he did, nothing would ever get done). The guy on the line insisted it wasn’t a cold call since he knew the director’s name and claimed a colleague spoke to him last week. What I didn’t mention was he asked for the director by his full legal name, which isn’t what he usually goes by, so we always spot when someone’s trying to pull a fast one. Proper cheeky guy, clearly used to blagging his way through.
