The moment I picked up, I caught the sound of a busy office in the background, which made me want to hang up instantly. Then a lady with quite a thick Asian accent started talking about some 118 online service for finding businesses and how it works better with Google. She asked me straight if I was the owner of the business. I wasn’t interested at all, so I just ended the call. Seeing the reviews here, I reckon I did the right thing!

It's definitely a scam, better to just ignore the call.

Don't trust this number - it isn't Scottish Power. I got a call from them around 10:33 this morning, Wednesday 2nd April 2025. A woman with an Asian sounding accent said she wanted to assist me with my online presence on Google and other search platforms. In fact, I had similar calls yesterday from 01614 702782 and 01933 806987, both bringing up Google too! Seems like a scam to me, so I'd mark this number as suspicious.
