Got a call from Ross at the Outbound BT Sales team about a broadband offer that seemed way too good to be true. He said they'd even cover the cost of ending my existing contract with another company. I was quite suspicious and figured it might be a scam, so I reached out to BT via their website. The person I chatted with there assured me it wasn't a scam at all and that it’s all legit and safe.

Cant even begin to express how frustrating this is. I really want to find out how this person and 3 other scam callers have managed to get hold of my name and info. He promised to ring back with more info, which he did, but there was loads of background noise, sounded like a fake busy call centre or something. Got fed up with the whole thing and just hung up. I got a call from 0191 671 9478 at 7.01 pm on Wednesday 25th April and then again today, Thursday 26th April at 12.12pm. The guy on the line had a Liverpool accent and said he was calling from BT, offering to save me £10 a month on my landline, broadband and TV bundle. I told him I was too busy to chat and not interested, but he just kept pushing. I asked him to send me some info in the post so I could think about it, and he said fine and hung up. You’d think if it was really BT, they’d be able to send me a proper leaflet through the post?

these lot are just trying to fool you about the internet speed so they can get you to change providers, total dodgy suppliers with loads of noise and clapping in the background, probably scammed loads of folks. he said i'd get 10 mbps but on my phone my download speed is 28, which is what i’m actually paying for, so i just nicely told him to piss off.

I got a call claiming my internet speed was only 10 mbps and they could match that, but what they didn’t realise was I’m getting 28 mbps on my phone, exactly what I’m paying for.
